Develop a comprehensive clinical approach to the assessment and treatment of shoulder and scapular dysfunction. This hands-on course emphasizes clinical assessment, identification of common dysfunctional movement patterns and pathologies, and development of targeted treatment strategies based on individual findings.

Participants will learn to integrate Trigger Point Release, Myofascial Release, and Deep Tissue Release with advanced assessment, mobilization, and corrective techniques for common conditions including shoulder impingement, rotator cuff injuries, adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder), scapular dysfunction, and other common shoulder presentations.

Designed for massage therapists and bodyworkers seeking to strengthen their clinical reasoning and provide more precise, assessment-driven treatment.

About Your Instructor

Dr. Jared Cooper, PT

For over 25 years physical therapist Dr. Jared Cooper (Dr. C) has led continuing education courses in bodywork and manual therapy across the country. He is an AMTA national and regional presenter, and is a clinical educator for Massage Envy, OnlineCE, and Biotone.

Dr. C has taught bodywork for the Center for Massage and Natural Health, and was a clinical instructor for the Manual Therapy Osteopathic Fellowship at Morristown Hospital, Seton Hall, Rutgers, Southwestern Community College, and Western Carolina University.

His work as an educator has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The NY Sun, The Chicago Tribune, and on ABC News. Dr. C currently runs the Bodywork Dojo, an online continuing education platform for therapy professionals, and treats clients in his clinic in Asheville, NC with an emphasis on Somatic Release and Clinical Orthopedic Therapy.

When he’s not teaching or treating, you can find him practicing breathwork, dancing Contact Improvisation, woodworking, or hiking with his wife Kaia, son Renly, and adorable aussie-doodle Shae.
